I realize that not everyone has the means to adopt. Sometimes it’s a matter of money or time. Whatever your reason may be it doesn’t mean that you can’t make a difference in a dog’s life. One way you can get involved is through volunteering. Shelters typically don’t make much of profit therefore they need all the volunteers or donations they can get. Going to your local shelter at least once a week to help walk dogs can help a shelter out profoundly. Another way to make a difference in the dog adoption world is by being informed and spreading the word. So often people neglect to explore their options when looking for a new pet. Although I believe every dog deserves love, people shouldn’t support dog shops that cross breed and sell dogs for an obscene price. There are too many homeless dogs in this world for people to keep over breeding. The more people who are informed about the abundance of homeless dogs, the better chance they have at getting adopted.
